Haiti
Haiti is a small island in the western part of the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean. It is the first independent state in the world whose all the first leaders of the government were former slaves and, paradoxically, outside the African continent. The country is relatively densely populated, and despite the fact that it has never been too economically strong or rich on mineral resources, it became a victim of some superpower games that culminated with the US invasion in 1982.
In January 2010, the country was given another major shock in the form of a very strong earthquake that killed more than 200,000 people and more than 1 million people lost their homes...
